This 8x10 photo shows nine eskimos in the seats of an open-top touring car, with the steering wheel on the right side. Caption at bottom reads "Eskimo Automobile Transfer Co., Nome, Alaska, All Aboard for Cape Prince of Wales, Kotzebue Sound and Way Ports." Writing around the front wheel reads "Private Car, A. L. Boyd, Gen'l Mgr. , Alaska Telephone & Telegraph Company" and writing on the rear wheel reads "The Thomas Flyer, Put Me Off at Buffalo." Three years before the New York to Paris winning Thomas Flyer crossed Alaska, the marque was already well known in Nome. Small corner tips off, small edge tears, some soiling
