ANS, in pencil, signed “Thos. A. Edison,” one page, 8.5 x 9.5, May 7, 1925. Short note written in between the lines of a typed letter to Edison. The employee writes, in part: “Have tested Dise Reproducer weights, which were assembled with Monel Metal limit pins. Two reproducer weights with Monel Metal Pins were set up testing on fixture… In conclusion I would say that the question of bending these Pins is not as important as the breaking off in reproducer weight.” Edison writes, “You can use Monel pins on reproducer,” adding after his signature, “How about Diamond…bearing & also the weight hub or pivot.” In very good condition, with scattered toning and soiling, rusty paperclip marks to top edge, and scattered creasing and wrinkling. Impressive as Edison maintains a hands-on approach to work in his companies.
