Vintage matte-finish 13.75 x 10.75 photo of Edison, George Eastman, General John Pershing, and others, taken at Eastman’s Rochester house in 1928, where he demonstrated Kodacolor motion picture film for the first time to attendees of a garden party. Photo produced by Potter Studios photography of Newark, New Jersey, with a pencil date of 1941 to the reverse. In fine condition, with some mild toning, silvering to the borders, and lightly trimmed edges. An incredible associative photograph, as Edison was key in the invention of motion pictures, with the development of his kinetoscope in the late 19th century. A great, oversized image of an important moment in the history of film.
