Thomas Edison TLS
"WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS BY THE AUCTIONEER ONCE ALL BIDS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER FOR EACH LOT."
Thomas Edison typed letter signed upon his Orange, New Jersey Laboratory stationery, dated 25 July 1923. Addressed to F.P. Moore at the Winnisook Club in Oliverea, New York, Edison regrets that he will not be able to attend the dedication of a tablet to the late nature essayist John Burroughs in the Catskills (the plaque is still present today). Letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Toning from previous framing and small waterstains along top margin, else very good. Strong Edison ''umbrella'' signature.
