Thomas Edison: Signed Edition of The Boy's Life
Thomas Edison: Signed Edition of William H. Meadowcroft's The Boy's Life of Edison with Autobiographical Notes by Mr. Edison. (New York & London: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1921), 367 pages, blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and front board and a oval sepia photograph of Edison pasted on the front cover, 12mo (5.25" x 7.5"), no dust jacket (as issued). Boldly signed "Thos A Edison" on the front free endpaper. Also inscribed and signed by the author just under Edison's signature "To Edwin L. Schultz, with the compliments of Wm H Meadowcroft September, 1928". According to the title page of this book, The Boy's Life of Edison is one of only two authorized biographies of Thomas Edison, and was personally approved by him. The book is in about good condition, with noticeable soiling of the boards, bumped corners, and moderate edge and spine wear. The spine shows some sunning, which has slightly faded the spine titles. Light foxing and staining to the endpapers, but the internal text is largely free of flaws. Small purple ink stains present to bottom of first 15 pages. A scarce Edison signed biography.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
