Exceptional glossy 9.25 x 5.25 photo of 'The Four Vagabonds'—Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, John Burroughs, and Harvey Firestone—affixed to its original 12 x 8.5 mount, signed on the mount in ink, "Henry Ford," "Thos. A. Edison," "Harvey S. Firestone." In fine condition, with mounting remnants to the corners, easily matted out.

Edison, Ford, and Firestone, along with John Burroughs, styled themselves 'The Illustrious Vagabonds' and traveled the country between 1914 and 1925 on a series of summer camping trips. Their stops included the Everglades in Florida, the southern Californian coast, the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, the Catskills, and the lakes regions of northern Michigan. The well-organized trips were made in caravans of Ford vehicles, and Ford Motor Company photographers chronicled the festivities.
