<B>Thomas Carlyle Autograph Letter Signed,</B></I> "<I>T Carlyle</B></I>". One page, 4.75" x 8.75", Chelsea, June 10, 1844, to unknown recipient. Scottish essayist, philosopher and historian. The letter reads: "<I>Dear Sir, I know who you are; and approve very cordially of your good Projects: but it is unfortunately altogether inconsistent with my present line of work to assist in them in the way you suggest. Believe me Yours very truly</B></I>". Horizontal fold, wrinkled and smoothed. Very good condition.
