No. 29112, in a frame moulded with leaves and acorns Provenance: From the family of the artist, by descent Thomas Benjamin Kennington married Elise Stevani in 1883, a Swedish beauty born in Lund in 1861. The family name Per Peterson was Latinised at Petrus Steventius, and the family's connections in Lund can be traced back to 1100. Notable ancestors of the family are Bishop Caneuti b. 1519, Professor Wexanius Gyldenstolpe, the codifier of Swedish Law, Count Gyldenstolpe, Chancellor of Sweden in the reign of Charles XII, and the grandfather of Elise was M.
