They Are Giving All (Lot of 2) 36 x 55 WWI They Are Giving All.
They Are Giving All. (Lot of 2) 36" x 55" Artist: Harvey Dunn. Printed by the U.S. Food Administration. A very scarce and popular Food Administration poster. Posters like this one were found all over the United States and were used to remind people to conserve food so there would be enough for American servicemen. Herbert Hoover, as head of the United States Food Administration, encouraged Americans to grow more of their own food and to give up eating certain foods needed by American troops. The slogans meatless, wheatless, sweetless, and heatless were often used. This poster focuses on wheat, and depicts troops running into battle with their rifles ready. An image which reminds Americans that the stamina and strength of our soldiers was key, and good food and nutrition for them was a must. A wonderful poster, very scarce and thus very popular!

Condition: Poster 1- Good; torn down 100% of the x-axis; but the tears are even and crisp; easily mended, adhesive damage on the verso, tape still present and needs removal.
Poster 2- Fine; severely torn down the y-axis.
