Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 17.75 x 13.25, January 5, 1905. President Roosevelt appoints George E. Ricker to the position of Postmaster of Merrimac, Massachusetts. Signed at the bottom by Roosevelt, and countersigned by Postmaster General Robert J. Wynn. Archivally double matted and framed with an engraved portrait of Roosevelt, a color Roosevelt campaign button, and a small name plaque to an overall size of 31.25 x 20. Light intersecting folds, a uniform shade of light toning, some light mirroring of seal above signature, and a few creases and wrinkles, otherwise fine condition. The partial gold foil seal is lightly worn. Oversized.
