Partly-printed DS, signed as governor of New York “T. Roosevelt,” one page, 16 x 13, January 22, 1900. Attractive document designed by Tiffany & Co., recognizing a military officer, in part: “Musician Louis Elsaesser, 65th Regt. having served in the Land or Naval forces of this State for a period of Ten Years, is…entitled to and has received the decoration of the Fourth class awarded by the State for Long and Faithful Service.” Signed at the conclusion by Governor Roosevelt and countersigned by Adjutant General Edward M. Hoffman. The red seal affixed at the bottom remains fully intact. Nicely matted and framed to an overall size of 22 x 19. In fine condition, with mild scattered creases. A crisp and attractive document.
