<B>Theodore Roosevelt: One of the Nicest Multicolor Designs Showing Teddy in Rough Rider Uniform</B></I> This 1¼" beauty was produced for an October 1900 Oklahoma reunion of "Roosevelt's Rough Riders". This epic event turned into one giant campaign rally for Roosevelt. It was widely covered by the press and gave Teddy's vice presidential campaign a great boost. Perhaps there was inclement weather while these buttons were being worn at the reunion, because an inordinate number come with varying degrees of water staining. The present example has extremely bright color and is very choice but for a little of that water staining.
