This popular genre of button combining politics with advertising has always been a collector favorite, and this T.R. variety is one of the most sought after. It is found in both “clicker” and pin button form, with the latter the more popular among political collectors. This example is from Kenton Broyles Collection, and was the plate example in Hake’s original 1896-1972 volume (pg. 56, no. 16). Beautiful condition, with strong color and near-perfect centering. For the purist, we note the absence of the button paper on reverse.
