The following lots 75-88 are from the family
estate of pioneer Cody Wyoming photographer, rancher, guide and journalist Jack Richard (1909-1992). Jack Richard ranched, guided and photographed the Yellowstone area his entire life capturing the ranching, regional and national park lifestyle, and published the Cody Times Newspaper. Richard was friends to famous western artist W.R. Leigh who would stay and paint at the ranch as well as Thomas Molesworth who crafted furniture for the Richard's ranch house. Over 160,000 of Richard's images are now held in the McCraken Library at the Buffalo Bill Historic Center in Cody. 140 Photographs of Jack Richard's work can also be seen in the book "Yellowstone Country" published about him in 2002 by his son Bob. Nicely braided bosal and quirt unmarked purchased from the Dave Shelley saddle shop Cody Wyoming by noted photographer Jack Richard, both remain fine.
