Extraordinary vintage program from Saint Xavier High School junior-senior prom on April 26, 1968, 3 x 4.75, signed on the back cover in ink by Jimmy Page, Keith Relf, Chris Dreja, and Jim McCarty, and inscribed on an interior 'Autographs' page by Page, "To Diane, from the Yardbirds." The program has been disbound for display and matted with an original poster for the Yardbirds at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on July 22, 1967, and a postcard for them at the Fillmore on October 23, 1966, to an overall size of 24.75 x 28.5. In very good to fine condition, with creasing and slight fading to the signatures.

The consignor notes that his uncle attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and helped book the Yardbirds to play the junior-senior prom, persuading the senior class counsel to do so. He and a few of his friends were the only students to meet the band, and he obtained their autographs at that time—including the uncommon inscription from Page to his then-girlfriend, Diane. A superb example of this vintage Yardbirds lineup, signed during their final tour of the United States. Just a few months later, Led Zeppelin emerged from the ashes of the Yardbirds, with Page as the only link to the old band. Page, Plant, Bonham, and Jones first appeared under the name 'The New Yardbirds' in September 1968, before changing their name to Led Zeppelin in October and going on to make rock music history.
