Extremely rare first printing color 23.25 x 37.25 poster for The Who's legendary six-night concert stand in which they performed the newly released Tommy in its entirety for its first time in the United States at the Fillmore East on October 20-25, 1970. Graham gave Joshua White and his team $5000 from the profits of the already sold-out concerts to develop a spectacular light show to accompany the debut. The poster features a red-white-and-blue design by David Byrd, and reads prominently, “The Who, Performing Their Entire Rock-Opera, ‘Tommy.’” The lower portion bears a ‘Union Jack’ that lists support from the Joshua Light Show and declares that the concert is “Presented by Special Arrangement with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.” Distributed by Triton Gallery, with the bottom edge featuring a 1969 Bill Graham copyright marked as No. 10. Rolled and in very good to fine condition, with creasing and short tears along the left edge.
