Fantastic circa 1970 color 33 x 23.5 poster promoting a concert by The Who in Germany, signed in ballpoint by Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon. The poster depicts two hands playing a disintegrating guitar, with large text below, "The Who Live in Germany." Rolled and in good to very good condition, with overall creasing, tack holes to top and bottom border, and several horizontal tears repaired on the reverse with clear tape. In support of their lauded rock opera Tommy, The Who embarked on a brief European tour at the start of 1970, continuing their trend of the previous year by performing at opera houses. Following showings in Paris and Copehagen, the band played a series of three concerts in Germany—two at the Opernhaus on January 26-27, and the last at the Deutschland Stadt Opera House on the 28th. Roughly two weeks later, The Who recorded their landmark live album Live at Leeds at the Leeds University Refectory on February 14, 1970. Pre-certified REAL.
