<B>Perc, Wally, Bud, Frank and Mont Westmore: <I>The Westmore Beauty Book: A Concyclopedia of Beauty</B></I>.</B></I> (Chicago: Melvin Korshak Publishers, distributed by Shasta Publishers, 1956), first edition, second printing, 252 pages plus Index, pink cloth with black and green lettering on spine and front board, 4to (8.5" x 11.25"), dust jacket (in protective Mylar). Korshak published this book under his own name rather than his company's, Shasta Publishers of Chicago. He was attempting to change directions, since the science fiction hardcover publishing industry took exceedingly more punishment from paperback and book club sales in the early 1950s. His beauty book sold well at first, but completely tanked on the second printing, effectively closing Shasta's doors for good. The book itself is a fascinating peek into 1950s social life, and interesting in that it is a book on female beauty written by five brothers, all famous Hollywood makeup men. And even though many were printed, this book is quite rare today, and a must-have for any Shasta Publishers completist. <B>Condition</B></I>: Very good, with minimal edge, corner, and spine wear present to the book and jacket.
