Based on the novel by Herbert George Wells, this landmark picture won a well-deserved Oscar for Special Effects that are as dazzling today as they were more than half a century ago. The unrestored one sheet offered here is the very definition of the word, "classic," an image indelibly burned into the minds of sci-fi fanatics everywhere.
