The Walking Dead (2010-2022) - Whisperer Mask - Lot A.
Original mask worn by a "Whisperer" in the ninth and tenth season’s on the post-apocalyptic horror drama television series 'The Walking Dead' (2010-2022), featuring a large ensemble cast as survivors of a zombie apocalypse trying to stay alive under near-constant threat of attacks from zombies.
This piece was created by KNB Effect Group under the supervision of Greg Nicotero. This mask is made of foam latex and features a full head construction with an opened back that is held together with black string. The mask itself features beautifully cast in details, large eye and mouth sections, and hand punched hair. The mask has been expertly painted to resemble rotting and necrotic flesh that has been sewn together. This piece shows slight wear from use in the series but remains in excellent, screen used condition.
The Whisperers are a mysterious group of hostile survivors who disguise themselves with the skin of the undead in order to blend in with them and not get noticed. They are first introduced in the episode "Who Are You Now?" of AMC's The Walking Dead. They served as the secondary antagonistic group for the first half of Season 9 and the primary antagonistic group for the second half of Season 9 and the majority of Season 10.
