The Ultimate Yankee Stadium Seat. Close your eyes and picture in your mind the finest Yankee Stadium seat in the hobby, and it will likely be a carbon copy of the offered specimen. Purchased during the mid-1970's stadium renovation sale, this seat remains exactly as it was during its days of service with the sole exception of the brass plaque affixed, reading "Yankee Stadium, 'The House That Ruth Built,' 50th Anniversary, 1923-1973, Bronx, N.Y." The Yankee blue overcoat of the paint gives way in a beautiful mottled pattern to reveal an earlier turquoise coat underneath, and Mickey Mantle's heroic number "7" is stenciled to the uppermost slat. The wrought iron sides are similarly and charmingly worn, with just the proper sprinkling of oxidation. One of the slats of the seat is cracked, but not to the degree that it threatens structural integrity, and it certainly does not affect the unbeatable display value. So much more desirable than the repainted, reworked seats much more commonly seen in the hobby.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Larg (view shipping information)
