Original May 15, 1881, Sunday morning edition of The Tombstone Epitaph, 17.5 x 24, two pages, both sides. Front page lists multiple mining applications and small news items, including the death of a cavalry officer, an update of Lucretia Garfield’s medical condition, and the report of four deaths from sun stroke. Inside has all sorts of business advertisements, with the back page bearing more news articles, and the weekly mining report noting “A big boom all along the line.” Paper has been de-acidified. Toning to edges, separated hinge, and expected edge wear and tear, otherwise fine condition.
