The Three Stooges Rare Movie Original Posters
The Three Stooges Rare Movie Original Posters The Three Stooges were at the height of their popularity when Curly Howard suddenly passed away. His oldest brother and original member of the team, Shemp Howard came back for several years to shoot both shorts, and features. This a collection of extremely rare, and virtually impossible to find large original full-color posters from this period. They include "Gold Raiders" (1951, )directed by their long-time collaborator Ed Bernds (shot in five days!); and "Rocklin In The Rockies" (1945) which had the wonderful credit: "The Three Stooges - Not Themselves". The collection also includes an equally rare poster of the Belgium release of "The Three Stooges Meet Hercules" (also directed by Ed Bernds) which utilized Joe DeRita as Curly Joe. This movie came out in 1962, and became a surprising box office smash, which, and along with the incredible popularity of their rerun shorts on TV, gave the trio a new career for a whole new generation. The "Gold Raiders" is a massive 28"x22", the "Rocklin In The Rockies an even more gigantic 27"x40.5" (please note this poster is very delicate and has some fold tears), and "Hercules" is 21"x14". It has a "tack hole" at the very top, and has been folded.
