Original screen used hero "Seeing Stone" used in the fantasy adventure film The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008) based on the bestselling book series of the same name by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi, where, upon moving into the run-down Spiderwick Estate with their mother, twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace, along with their sister Mallory, find themselves pulled into an alternate world full of faeries and other creatures. It was directed by Mark Waters and stars Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger, Mary-Louise Parker, Martin Short, Nick Nolte, and Seth Rogen.
This hero prop can be seen in numerous scenes throughout the movie. Since all the creatures were invisible, the seeing stones allowed the characters to see all the creatures listed in Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to Fairies with ease. Made of a hard resin and measures approx. 2 x 2 1/2 inches.
