<B>The Spider (American International, 1958).</B></I> One Sheet (27" X 41"). Director Bert I. Gordon was obviously a guy with big ideas. After the success of <I>The Amazing Colossal Man </B></I>and <I>War of the Colossal Beast</B></I>, Gordon went on to make this film, also known as <I>Earth vs. The Spider</B></I>, and then continued with such "big" pictures as <I>Village of the Giants </B></I>(with giant people), <I>The Food of the Gods </B></I>(giant wasps, chickens, rats, worms, etc.), and <I>Empire of the Ants </B></I>(giant ants)! In this film, a giant spider terrorizes a small town until it is dosed with DDT. Presumed dead and taken to the local high school gym for storage, the eight-legged terror is revived by loud rock and roll music, and it resumes its rampage of destruction! Boasting exceptional graphics, this classic one sheet is in wonderful condition, with only a V-shaped tear in the spider's body, repaired with professional restoration, keeping it from an even higher grade.
