The Rolling Stones: Mick Jagger's Stage Worn
The Rolling Stones: Mick Jagger's Stage Worn Custom Concert Jersey - June 1975 - Tour of the Americas. This exceptional piece of stage wear was worn by the inimitable, legendary Rolling Stones lead man during the Stones' Tour of The Americas concert tour in 1975. A custom design made to emulate a professional New York Rangers hockey jersey, Jagger commissioned well known New York jersey designer Gerry Cosby of Madison Square Garden to create this one-of-a-kind relic. A novelty idea used by Jagger throughout the entire tour, Mick would appear on stage during the show donning a custom Stones jersey made in the likeness of the arena's home hockey team. Jagger wore this jersey throughout the Stones' 4-night concert appearance at Madison Square Garden, June 22-25, 1975. The front side features custom stitched lettering that reads, "Stones", while the reverse reads, "The Garden, New York, June 1975." Embroidered on the inside lining of the neck is an official wardrobe tag from Gerry Crosby Athletic Outfitters & Co. Acquired directly from Jaggers' wardrobe by a prominent Stones roadie, accompanying the jersey is a letter of authenticity that outlines how the piece was originally obtained. Costumes worn by Jagger are extremely rare and seldom appear on any market. An important, Hall of Fame caliber treasure that is deserving of prominent display in a museum or distinguished collection. Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
