Uncommon Sire Records double-sided 12? vinyl test pressing of The Ramones’ 1977 album, Rocket to Russia. A white Warner Bros. Record label on one side of the disc is annotated in thin red felt tip, “’Rocket to Russia,’ Ramones, Sire.” The album sleeve is annotated in black felt tip, “Sire 6042, Test Pressing,” and is affixed with a sticker for the album cover. Also includes an illustrated lyric sleeve. In fine condition, with some light creasing and tape remnants to album sleeve. The record is included. Test pressings are the first vinyl discs made at the factory and are produced in small numbers in order to evaluate disc and sound quality prior to mass production. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Chris Lamy, close friend of The Ramones and guitarist of The Jabbers, formerly GG Allin & The Jabbers. The Chris Lamy Collection.
