The Muppet Show (1974) - Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) Bespin Style Costume
Mark Hamill’s costume from his momentous appearance on The Muppet Show, created by Jim Henson. During the episode, Kermit has booked Angus McGonagle, an Argyle gargoyle who can gargle Gershwin, when Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2 crash through a wall and are searching for Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew). The search sees the Star Wars team hijack the Swinetrek, so First Mate Piggy substitutes herself for Princess Leia, and the crew finds that Chewbacca is imprisoned by "Dearth Nadir" (who is played by Gonzo).

The costume worn by Hamill is the style of the one he wore in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980). This costume consists of a brown jacket and brown pants. The jacket has a unique design with multiple pockets and an a custom zipper going up the middle of the jacket chest. The brown costume is notable for being worn during key moments in the film, including his time on the icy planet Hoth and his training with Yoda on Dagobah. The costume is in excellent condition, with minor wear from production. The jacket has a studio label. This lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auctions.
