1886, Territory of Montana. Stock certificate for 5 shares. Green. Issued to and signed twice by Charles Francis Adams, Jr. (1835 - 1915) Grandson of Louisa Catherine and John Quincy Adams; served as a colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War; Railroad Executive following the war. Some light glue residue at stub. Fine. Stamp and hole punch cancelled with the later affecting Adams' signature as President, his signature on verso is unaffected.
