The Mask of Fu Manchu (MGM, 1932). Still (11" X 14"). By the mid 1930s, the Hollywood Cricket Club's roster included Boris Karloff (who for a while drove a dusty Ford with "Hollywood Cricket Club" emblazoned on the tire cover), P.G. Wodehouse, Ronald Coleman, Nigel Bruce, George Arliss, David Niven and C. Aubrey Smith, who remained an active member of the squad well into his 70s. This great photo is taken on the set of the MGM horror classic, "The Mask of Fu Manchu" with the Australian Cricket Team. C. Aubrey Smith is seen in the lower right wearing the Hollywood team flannels. Sax Rohmner, the author of the "Fu Manchu" books is seen in the lower left. Karloff in the top center, Myrna Loy on the front row center and Lewis Stone, to the left of Karloff. To the extreme left, top row, is director Charles Brabin. This historic original double weight photo is most likely the work of still photographer Clarence Bull, who was the photographer for the film. The photo is in excellent shape with a pinhole in all four corners as well as a couple of others in the image and border. Very Fine.
