Livingston,” who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1807 to 1823; an ALS concerning financial agreements, January 22, 1830, signed by Edward Livingston, “Edw. Livingston,” whose impressive array of offices included New York congressman, mayor of New York, Louisiana congressman and senator, secretary of state under Andrew Jackson, and minister to France; an LS concerning election as a member of the Academy of Arts, December 24, 1803, also signed by Edward Livingston, “Edw. Livingston”; an ALS about financial matters of the Dutch Reformed Church, signed by John H. Livingston, “J. H. Livingston,” who was pastor of the church and later served as president of Queen’s College [Rutgers]; and a manuscript DS regarding the Livingston family’s ironworks in Ancram, New York, signed by Henry Livingston, Sr., “Henry Livingston,” a surveyor, mapmaker, and longtime clerk of Dutchess County. In overall very good condition.
