Original jacket worn by "General Pecheur", played by Henry Gibson in the Marty Feldman directed historical comedy film 'The Last Remake of Beau Geste' (1977), a satire loosely based on the 1924 novel Beau Geste, a frequently-filmed story of brothers and their adventures in the French Foreign Legion.
Feldman plays Digby Geste, the awkward and clumsy "identical twin" brother of Michael York's Beau, the dignified, aristocratic swashbuckler.
Co-starring Ann-Margret, Peter Ustinov, Trevor Howard and James Earl Jones.
