Limited edition The Jazz Scene box-set album (#453/5000) produced and signed by Norman Granz, released by Mercury Records in 1949, signed inside the spiral-bound volume by 14 jazzmen: Duke Ellington signs in blue ink on his full-page portrait; Harry Carney signed in blue ink on the reverse of his portrait; Billy Cole signs on the reverse of Billy Strayhorn's photo; Buddy Rich signs in blue ink on his full-page portrait; and Al Killian, Wendell Marshall, Jimmy Hamilton, Ray Nance, Quentin Jackson, Johnny Hodges, Lawrence Brown, Charlie Rouse, Nelson Williams, and Beau McCain sign on a single record sleeve. In fine condition. The six records are included. This landmark limited edition album remains in superior condition, and is wonderfully enhanced by the autographs of 14 legendary jazz artists and a David Stone Martin fold-out print.
