The constant struggle of the man, Bruce Banner, to keep the monster at bay within himself reflects a struggle each person faces at some point in their life. This first issue features the first appearance and origin of this sad villain, or is he really a hero waging against the terrors of a cruel and demanding society? Key first issues of early Marvels such as this are notoriously hard to find in mid grade or higher. This superb copy features stunningly brilliant, deep, and rich color hues that is atypical in most mid grade books. This shinning cover gloss and vibrant color richness makes this copy highly desirable. Only a two-inch corner crease and some light damage to the spine prevent this specimen from grading higher. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
