Collection of costumes and regalia for members of “Redman” a) Three-piece Red Men costume manufactured by Louis E. Stilz & Bro. of Philadelphia. Iroquois beadwork is done on scarlet red cloth panels; b) Three-piece Red Men costume manufactured by Louis E. Stilz & Bro. of Philadelphia. Iroquois beadwork is done on blue cloth panels. Beads are missing on several of the panels on the shirt and leggings, although beadwork on belt is in good condition. Red leather numbers 48 are sewn on right sleeve to identify tribe number; c) Red Men costume shirt with attached self-belt and knife sheath manufactured by Harding Uniform & Regalia Co. of 22 School St., Boston. This Indian shirt is made from cotton, embellished with beading cloth ribbon, trim, suede fringe, and nickel domed discs; d) Red Men “Warrior” costume leggings manufactured by Harding Uniform & Regalia Co. of 30 Franklin St., Boston. They are made from cotton duck decorated with nickel domed discs; e) Red Men feather headdress decorated in Iroquois beadwork with a central design of crossed American flags. The brown suede headband has red dyed feathers interspersed with dark (horse?) hair; f) Red Men yellow feather headdress from Tribe No. 126. The central construction of this headdress is a mushroom-colored felt cap. Each dyed feather has been bound in yellow velvet and sewn one-by-one onto the cap. Tribe's identifying number has been beaded in dark green on a white field; g) Red Men red feather headdress from Tribe No. 126. The central construction of this headdress is a mushroom-colored felt cap; h) Red Men costume shirt/jacket from The Pettibone Mfg. Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio. The original labels identify this maker of “Military and Society Goods” as well as the type of costume, “Indian.” Condition: suede is very dry and fragile. Original buttons have been replaced with contemporary domed brown wooden ones; i) Three-piece women's Indian costume with multi-colored small wooden bead and fringe detail. This light-weight cotton canvas costume consists of tunic, skirt and sash; j) A group of three Red Men souvenir badges: 1) Celluloid pin with striped ribbon. Gold imprint reads, “Souvenir, First Annual Field Day, Oppomanyhook Tribe No. 302, I.O.R.M. Saucon Park, July 23, 1921.”; 2) Metal souvenir badge. Top piece with pin has a printed insert which reads, “Red Men's Convention, Allentown, PA., June 12th - 15th 1906.”; 3) Metal souvenir badge with ribbons. Metal badge contains celluloid pin of bison. Ribbons read, “First Annual Convention, Supreme Herd L.O.O.B., Easton, Penna, September 16-18, 1913.
