<B>The Human Torch #2 (#1) (Timely, 1940) CGC Apparent FN+ 6.5 Moderate (P) Off-white to white pages.</B></I> One of the 20 most valuable Golden Age issues of all, this was the first issue of one of Timely's most legendary titles. The Human Torch and Sub-Mariner had been introduced several months before, but it was this issue that had the origin and first appearance of Toro. The cover's by Alex Schomburg, with Carl Burgos, Bill Everett, Joe Simon, and Al Gabriele contributing interior art. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, reinforced."
