Two pair of pantaloons worn in the 1940 film The Howards of Virginia: a pair of beige pantaloons made for Hardwicke which feature button and eye-and-hook cuffs. A United Costumer’s tag is sewn into the waistband with Hardwicke’s name typed on the second line and the production number typed on the first line. Although made for Hardwicke, he is not seen with these in the film; and a pair of light brown pantaloons worn by Carlson, which feature button and eye-and-hook cuffs adorned with gold buttons. In overall fine condition, with some scattered light soiling to one pair.
