Disclaimer:
This painting is being sold on an AS-IS basis, with no returns or exchanges. You are more than welcome to schedule a time to view in person. It has been described to the best of our ability, and we have attempted to give full disclosure on the piece.

Bert and Eanger were both famous for painting calendar art, and therefore painted multiple versions of the same painting. This image is believed to be a Version 2.0 of the painting entitled "The Historian". This example is larger and contains more details than the smaller version. The butt flap on the seated man is also exhibits different movement than the one in the smaller painting. We have had several knowledgeable individuals in the industry review the work, and have issued their opinions on it. The consensus is that this work was painted by EIC and is a larger version of "The Historian".

Please use your best judgement when bidding. If you are uncomfortable with placing a bid after viewing this description and reading these terms, we encourage you not to place a bid.
