October 8, 1811, to Benjamin Romans. A pristine letter that reads, "I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of a Box, containing laws of the State of Massachusetts, which I shall forward without delay to Elisha Jenkins Esq. Secretary of this State in Albany together with a copy of the memorandum adjoined to your letter addressed to the Lieutenant Governor of this State. I have no doubt Mr. Jenkins will cheerfully fow'd you all the laws of this State with which you have not already been furnished soon after the next meeting of our Legislature."
