Full printing of the “authentic copy of the treaty between Britain and America, signed at Paris on the 30th of November last” eight article of text—“Done at Paris, November 30th 1782—RICHARD OSWALD, JOHN ADAMS, BENJ FRANKLIN, JOHN JAY, HENRY LAURENS." Proceedings in Parliament concerning the meaning of the term “the independence of America” under the provisional articles of peace, with Mr. Burke, Mr. Fox, Mr. Pitt, and others expressing their views. “When the provisionary articles were signed at Paris, between England and America, the whole business was transacted at Franklin’s hotel; none but the commissioners of Great-Britain and America being present.” PROCLAMATION, signed in type by John Dickinson and bearing a large wood-cut seal of the State of Pennsylvania, concerning robbery of public funds, offering a reward and pardon, concluding with “GOD SAVE THE COMMONWEALTH!” Report from Lisbon, Portugal: “The court has published an edict, to acknowledge the flag of the united states of America, and to give free entrance into his port of their vessels.”
