This is a spectacular 200-coin set from The Franklin Mint that depicts significant events in the history of the United States of America. There is one encapsulated, warm red bronze coin for every year from 1776 to 1975, and each coin portrays a noteworthy occasion.

For example, the border on the obverse of the 1791 coin reads, "BILL OF RIGHTS GUARANTEES INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS * DEC. 15, 1971." On the reverse are five dates in that year with a few words for each event that occurred on that day. All the other coins follow a similar format.

The collection is stored in a wooden box with ten thick cardboard shelves, approximately 11x14-inches, each covered in a red leatherette-style material and framed in a copper-tone quarter-inch metal edge protectors. The year represented by that coin is gold-foil embossed into the red covering just below the hole that holds that coin.

All ten shelves slide into a custom-made wooden box approximately 14.75" wide x 11.625" deep x 6.75" tall. There are no labels or markings on the box. All the coins appear to be in very good condition with no toning or tarnish evident. The wooden box has some scratches on the top, bottom, and sides.

This collection is in excellent condition and a fascination representation of the history of the USA.
