Original set of 4 costume pieces made to be worn by the season 9 super villain "Cobalt Blue", played by Rick Cosnett in the superhero television series 'The Flash' (2014-), developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the Barry Allen incarnation of DC Comics character the Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off from Arrow, existing in the same fictional universe known as Arrowverse.
The series follows Barry Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin, a crime scene investigator who gains super-human speed, which he uses to fight criminals, including others who have also gained superhuman abilities.
Cobalt Blue, also known as Malcolm Thawne, was a long-lost twin brother of Barry Allen, who was taken by Dr. Gilmore as a baby and given to the Thawne family. Malcolm had a really hard childhood, but seeing that his twin brother Barry had a much better upbringing, he swore to seek revenge against the speedster. Malcolm eventually created a magical talisman that let the man steal everything he desired, including Barry Allen’s speed. Cobalt Blue’s powers include energy projection, energy construct creation, power absorption, superhuman speed, and healing.
