Since the 1920s, no other Chicago hotel has inspired more legendary acclaim on par with The Drake, where the Magnificent Mile begins and history unwinds. In the 1920’s, Chicago was a tough town where prohibition and gangsters clashed with the likes of Johnny Torrio and Al Capone who fought head to head in bitter battles to rule the Windy City. What both men however had in common and good taste was to get their haircut at the famous Drake hotel. And for your consideration we proudly offer an original restored 1920’s Barber Chair from that hotel. This chair along with another one was purchased from Red Baron’s in Atlanta in need of a complete restoration many years ago. The person who bought these two chairs paid $10,000 for the pair. This one of the two was sent off for an exhaustive professional restoration which cost over $6,000 dollars. There is not a microscopic inch on this chair that did not receive the finest craftsmanship and detail to utter perfection. The pearl white tufted upholstery is something only a chariot of the Gods would duplicate and demand. The spectacular red cherry porcelain with silver white scroll accents sets this chair off like no other. The unusual solid brass hardware completes the entire dramatic presentation. I would challenge anyone to compare this chair to any noted example on planet earth. During the 1920’s this beauty
experienced enough history and lost locks of gangster and G-Man hair to write a forensic story of The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.
She’s ready for another generation of admiration and an occasional trim.

All major credit cards only through Pay Pal are accepted. Bank wires and cashier’s checks are accepted. Merchandise will not be released until payment is cleared.
