The Election of 1912 -- as Rendered in Butter!
The Election of 1912 -- as Rendered in Butter! Butter? Yes... butter. A bizarre and quite rare 1912 color postcard from the Chicago National Dairy Show presenting "Three Presidential Candidates Sculpted in Meadow Gold Butter" including Wilson, Taft, and Roosevelt, each candidate standing beside (or in Taft's case, atop) their party mascots: Woodrow Wilson and the Democratic donkey, Taft with the Republican elephant, and Theodore Roosevelt holding a big stick next to his Bull Moose. A terrific piece of advertising / political ephemera! One minor crease, else fine condition. (We have to wonder what happened to the original works… can you imagine how much whole-wheat toast could have been slathered?!?)

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
