Super desirable felt tip signatures, "Jim," "Ray," "John," and "The Doors, Robby," who adds the inscription, "to Janice," on an off-white 9 x 6 sheet of notebook paper. In very good to fine condition, with light toning, and many pin-sized holes (and some slightly larger tack-sized holes to the bottom of the sheet). Consignor notes that the signatures were obtained at a Doors concert held at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, on October 27, 1967. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from original recipient, and the rare original Cal Poly handbill, which lists The Doors, The Lyrics, and The Thundermugs as the musical artists.

The autumn of 1967 was a defining period for The Doors. On September 17th, their memorable performance of 'Light My Fire' on The Ed Sullivan Show, highlighted by Jim Morrison's defiant singing of the word 'higher,' much to the chagrin of network executives, further propelled the band's notoriety and record sales. A week after the Sullivan Show, The Doors released their second full-length record in Strange Days, an album that landed in the No. 3 spot in the Billboard charts a mere month after the quartet's self-titled debut had reached No. 2. An extremely desirable set of early Doors autographs.
