The Devil-Doll (MGM, 1936) Title Card - Scene Car
The Devil-Doll (MGM, 1936) Title Card - Scene Cards (2) (11" X 14"). The Devil-Doll is one of the celebrated classics of the Golden Age of Horror. It came from the great Tod Browning, who'd made his name during the silent era with such films as The Unholy Three (1925), London After Midnight (1927) before making the move over into sound with Dracula (1931), Freaks (1932) and Mark of the Vampire (1935). This was Browning's second-to-last film. The film is liberally adapted from Merritt's witchcraft novel Burn, Witch, Burn (1933) and stars Lionel Barrymore and Maureen O'Sullivan. This lot consist of the title card and two scene cards. There are corner pinholes (a few in the bordering graphics), smudge marks, and some light scuffs. The colors are vibrant and the cards display very well. Very Fine-. 3 items
