<B>The Defenders #2 (Marvel, 1972) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages.</B></I> This was the second and last issue to have one of those collectible "picture frame" covers, and the fact that the frame is black here makes this book surprisingly tough in the highest grades. The Silver Surfer joined the group in this issue, no surprise since he palled around with Namor and the Hulk back in <B>Sub-Mariner</B></I> #34 and 35. Sal Buscema is the artist. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $70.
