<B>The Cruel Sea (Universal, 1953).</B></I> British Quad (30" X 40"). Jack Hawkins is assigned to command a convoy escort ship at the beginning of WWII. His inexperienced crew learns the hard way under the threat of Nazi U-boats. The film gave early roles to such British actors as Donald Sinden, Denholm Elliott, Virginia McKenna and Stanley Baker. This British quad has pinholes, edge wear and tears, and fold wear. There is bleed-through on the title from writing on the back, and tiny edge and corner chips. The poster has been mounted on linen and professionally restored, giving it a very clean appearance. It features striking artwork of Hawkins by Walklin.
