Rare 1977 UK pressing (CBS 8200) of the self-titled debut album from The Clash, signed beautifully in blue ballpoint, “Joe Strummer,” “Paul Simonon, Bass,” and “Mick Jones (GTR),” and in black ballpoint, “Nicky Headon.” In fine condition. Includes the original early vinyl pressing (A6/B6) on the first issue sunburst CBS label. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from REAL.

The self-titled debut album was released in the UK on April 8, 1977, through CBS Records, however, due to record label disputes over its content, the album would not release in the US until 1979. When it did eventually release, the US version was significantly altered to include a different track listing and track order while omitting several ‘controversial’ songs in favor of non-album tracks recorded in the interim. Written and recorded over three weeks in February 1977 for a paltry £4,000, the album would go on to reach No. 12 on the UK charts, and has been included on many retrospective rankings as one of the greatest punk albums of all time. An outstanding vintage-signed example of The Clash’s historic debut album.
