Paul Simonon's handwritten song list, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, penned in black felt tip for Melody Maker journalist and first Clash manager Caroline Coon, no date but circa 1977. The list consists of titles for nineteen songs, with Simon adding additional notes to several, including: "White Riot-Backdrop-N. I.?," "1977-Row of coffins, Elvis Etc...," "Janie Jones Holloway-Star's that went to her parties," "Remote Control," "Bored with the U.S.A.," "(White Riot)," "Hate & War," "What's My Name-Group," "Deny," "London's Burning-old picture of London 1666," "Careers-Army-Bus Drive-Ambulance man," "Cheat," "Protex-Durex," "Police & Thieves," "48 Hours," "Garageland," "Capital Radio-In tune with nothing," "Complete Control," and "City of the Dead." In fine condition, with a rough top edge and mild edge toning. Coon requested the song list, which contains nearly every song from the Clash's self-titled debut, so she could use them in an article prior to their release; the same list was used in the production of the group's first songbook. Pre-certified REAL.
